ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4.

2. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of the notice to the fifth respondents is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner is a senior citizen aged about 81 years. He alleges that he is being harassed by the private respondents. He has already filed a representation before the fourth respondent as per Rule 21(2) of the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009. The fourth respondent is having an obligation to take care of the safety of the senior citizens residing within his station limits. Therefore, the fourth respondent is directed to act in terms of the statutory mandate set out in Rule 21(2) of the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009. This Writ Petition is disposed of, on these terms. No costs.
