Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.01.2022 submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 5 and the learned Counsel for the sixth respondent.
2. The petitioner seeks police protection. He had also given a representation dated 04.01.2022 in that regard. The case of the petitioner is that he had borrowed money form the sixth respondent and that the sixth respondent is holding out threats to him for recovery of the said amount.
3. The counsel for the sixth respondent categorically asserts that the sixth respondent has no claim whatsoever over the petitioner. The sixth respondent has not given any financial assistance to the petitioner herein.
4. I am of the view that no case for police protection has been made out. The Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
