O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to conclude the enquiry and pass appropriate orders cancelling the patta standing in the names of the second to seventh respondents, by considering the petitioner's representation in Na.Ka.No.A1/8569/2025, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the second to seventh respondents, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against them.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that a civil suit is pending between the petitioner and the private respondents. Though the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai, by proceedings dated 07.10.2023, directed the authorities to maintain status quo till the disposal of the suit, the Page No. 2 of 5

Tahsildar, Thirupattur, without proper application of mind, issued patta in the names of the second to seventh respondents on 20.11.2024.

4. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the District Collector through the grievance cell and the same was forwarded to the first respondent, who took it on file in Na.Ka.No.A1/8569/2025 and issued summons. However, the second to seventh respondent have not appeared for enquiry and no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation in Na.Ka.No.A1/8569/2025 would be disposed of by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks.

Recording the above submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to conclude the enquiry on the petitioner's representation in Na.Ka.No.A1/8569/2025 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks Page No. 3 of 5

from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent shall afford a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the private respondents and all other interested parties before passing orders. No costs.
