ORDER
When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's claim for medical reimbursement is pending before the District Level Empowered Committee (hereinafter referred to as "DLEC" for brevity), which is the Committee constituted by the Government headed by the District Collector, having the Joint Director of Medical and Rural Health Services Department, the District Treasury Officer and an official representative of the Insurance Company as members and that if a direction is 2/5
given to the DLEC to dispose of the claim within the timeframe, the petitioner would be satisfied.
2.In view of the above, the District Level Empowered Committee, Headed by the District Collector, Kanyakumari District, is suo-motu impleaded as fifth respondent.
3.Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the fifth respondent / DLEC to dispose and pass appropriate orders, in the case of petitioner herein, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
