Heard Mr.A.C.Asaithambi, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent 1 & 2 and Mr.R.R.Boomee Rajan, learned counsel for the 3rd respondent.

2. The Writ Petition is filed praying for a Mandamus, directing the first respondent to transfer the Stage Carriage Permit bearing Registration No. TN-50 H-0668 plying on the route Thiruthuraipoonadi to Pattukkottai and its Spare Bus bearing Registration No.TN-50C-5464 from the third respondent to the petitioner by considering the Joint Application dated 12.06.2024 and for other reliefs. 2/4

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the joint application made by the petitioner and the third respondent for transfer of permit is pending consideration with the first respondent from 12.06.2024.

4. Considering the fact that the joint application had been made by the petitioner and the third respondent as early as on 12.06.2024, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the said application and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
