ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents. 2.The writ petitioner is none other than the wife of the fourth respondent herein. Her relationship with her husband has come under strain. She has filed a maintenance claim before the jurisdictional Court. The allegation of the writ petitioner is that to defeat her maintenance claim, the fourth respondent had alienated the property in favour of his brother / the fifth respondent herein. The petitioner filed a petition before the first respondent for cancelling the said registration.

3.As rightly pointed out by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the relief sought for by the writ petitioner cannot be granted in writ proceedings. The petitioner will have to work out her rights before the 2/4

appropriate forum in appropriate manner. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

4.Granting such liberty to the writ petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
