2.We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents. We have also perused the records carefully.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner was arrested on 11.04.2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 457 and 380 of IPC in Crime No.541 of 2016 by the Inspector of Police, D3 Koodalpurdur Police Station, Madurai City, Madurai.
