PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct respondents 1 to 6 herein to remove the illegal tiled shed put up by the 7th respondent in S.No.65/3A of Karangalankudi Village (Burial Ground), Sivagangai Taluk and District and remaining encroachments on the basis of the instructions issued by the Tahsildar, Sivagangai Taluk and District dated 16.11.2018 and also the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2019 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ on hand has been instituted to direct respondents 1 to 6 herein to remove the illegal tiled shed put up by the seventh respondent in S.No.65/3A of Karangalankudi Village (Burial Ground), Sivagangai Taluk and District and the remaining encroachments.

2. With reference to the relief sought for in the present writ petition, the learned Additional Government Pleader, based on the 2/5

written instructions given by the Tahsildar, Sivagangai, vide letter dated 06.02.2020, would submit that the alleged encroachment has already been removed.

3. As far as the tiled house in 11⁄2 cents is concerned, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the occupier is a landless poor person and is eligible to get the benefit of assignment under the Government Scheme and the authorities are initiating steps to grant assignment to the occupant.
