: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the person or body of the detenu, by name, Kattumanthiri @ Katturaja, S/o.Muniswaran, aged 32 years, before this Court and hand over to the petitioner.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] It appears that the husband of the petitioner herein is missing for more than nine months, while involving himself in deep sea.

2. A status report has been filed by the first respondent herein, wherein in Paragraph No.6, it has been stated as follows:-

It is also submitted that in order to provide effective consular assistance to Indian Nationals who are in distress in foreign countries, the Ministry of External Affairs has launched a website named "MADAD [www.madad.gov.in]. Upon registration of a grievance on this portal, a grievance ID is generated using which the petitioner/family member/friend can monitor the status of their case from the website. Therefore, this matter has been registered on the Madad Portal, online Consular Services Management System of the Ministry of External Affairs under Grievance. ID OM0WHU103821118. As and when new developments take place in this case, our Indian Mission will update the same on the Portal and the petitioner is able to track and monitor them himself".

3. In view of the above, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed, with a direction to the first respondent to continue and monitor the detenu. The petitioner is given liberty to approach this Court at a later point of time. However, considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the pending representation dated 03.03.2018 seeking compensation is directed to be considered by the respondents 1 and 2 as the case may be, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
