PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2023.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents 1 to 3 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2023.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's son drowned in the water in a ditch near the Urani belonging to Sri Vazhavanthan Amman temple in Alapalacheri Village and died. The said ditch was formed due to the illegal mining activities. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 23.08.2023, seeking compensation for his son's death as well as for taking action against the erring officials. Since 2/5

the said representation remains unconsidered, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

3.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2023, within a period of four [4] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
