ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents 1 to 3, to produce the body or person of the petitioner's younger sister named Lidiya, daughter of Vijayan, aged about 17 years old minor girl before this Court and hand over her custody to the petitioner.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the detenue has been secured.

3. The detenue and the petitioner are present before this Court.

4. On enquiry, the detenue has stated that she is aged about 17 years and since, her parents arranged for a marriage, she left the home

on her own and stayed along with her friend by name Sumithra. The detenue further stated that she is ready to go along with her brother/petitioner. However, she has stated that she wants to continue her higher studies.

5. For that, the petitioner/brother has also agreed before this Court that all assistance will be rendered to the petitioner to pursue her higher education.

6. Recording the aforesaid statements, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
