O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the online rejection order passed by the second respondent rejecting the request of the petitioner for issuance of Legal Heir Certificate for the death of her husband.

2. The petitioner's husband namely, Kupendran, passed away on 21.02.2018. Death certificate reflects the place of death as MGR Nagar, Nagamalai, Karpoopatty, Madurai. However, the permanent address of the deceased is shown as Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District. The petitioner has made an application seeking Legal Heir Certificate, which has been rejected on the sole ground that the permanent address of the deceased is Thiruvallur District and therefore he cannot entertain the application.

3. The petitioner in the typed set of papers has produced records to indicate that the AADHAR Card, Family Card and Voter ID Card of the deceased indicate that the permanent address of the deceased person is 2/5

Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District. The petitioner has also produced records to indicate that her both daughters are studying at Sholavandhan.

4. In view of the above said facts, the order impugned in the writ petition is set aside and the matter is remitted back to the file of the second respondent. The second respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioner and pass fresh orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands allowed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
