ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the F.I.R in Crime No.293 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent.

2. The case is under Section 420 I.P.C. The allegation was by promising to triple money within the short time, by investing in other methods. The petitioner is said to have cheated the defacto complainant to the tune of Rupees Two Lakhs.

3. Pending the case, now, the defacto complainant and the petitioners come up with the joint memo of compromise stating that they have settled the issue. Since the offence itself is compoundable in nature and considering the nature of allegation, this Court directed the Officerin-charge of the High Court Legal Services Committee, to verify as to the identity of the parties and whether the matter has been settled between them. A report has been received by this Court and they verified the same. The Joint Compromise Memo is duly signed by both the parties and also by their respective counsel.

4. In view of the same, this Petition is allowed and the F.I.R in Crime No.293 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent, is hereby quashed. The joint compromise memo shall form part and parcel of the order.
