Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 1/4

2.The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner's land in Town S.No.36, Ward G Block, Thachanellur, Tirunelveli, based on her representation dated 18.12.2024. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that she has been residing in the subject lands for the past several decades and she is also aged 70 years and she makes a living by keeping cows and calves. According to the petitioner, several people in and around the petitioner's house have already been issued patta and have obtained service connections too. The petitioner being entitled to free house site patta vide G.O.No.1876, has sent a representation to the respondents on 18.12.2024. The petitioner only seeks disposal of the said representation. 4.

Without going into the merits of the petitioner's entitlement for patta, a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 20.02.
