PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to initiate appropriate legal actions against the respondents 4 and 5 subsequently to closure the illegal cattle house situated at 177-1, Kamachi Amman Kovil Street, Kannan Colony, Chinthamani, Madurai-625 009, based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2024 within a time stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action against the cattle house that is being maintained by the respondents 4 and 5 at the premises bearing No.177-I, Kamachi Amman Kovil Street, Kannan Colony, Chinthamani, Madurai, basing upon his representation dated 30.11.2024.

2. Complaining inaction on the part of the respondents 1 to 3 on the said representation, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, Mr.K.K.Kannan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent, brought to the notice of this Court that basing upon the previous representation submitted by the petitioner, appropriate action has already been initiated and a final notice dated 05.10.2024, has been served on the respondents 4 and 5 and appropriate action would be taken within a short time.

4. Considering the fact that the first respondent has already initiated action basing on the previous representation submitted by the petitioner and a final notice dated 05.10.2024 is also stated to have been served on the respondents 4 and 5, this Court does not find any reason to entertain this writ petition complaining inaction against the respondents 1 to

3. However, it would be appropriate to fix some time frame for conclusion of the action initiated by the first respondent.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to conclude the action that has already been initiated by him by issuing a final notice dated 05.10.2024 to the respondents 4 and 5, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
