ORDER

The petitioner served as a Revenue Assistant in the respondent Corporation and retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.07.2017. The petitioner, with a grievance that the interest for the belated payment of provident fund has not been paid to him, has filed this writ petition, seeking a writ of mandamus.

2. When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation submits that a sum of Rs.1,26,732/- towards provident fund and Rs.21,004/- towards interest for the period from 2008 and 2009 has been paid to the petitioner. He further submits that the balance interest amount for the period from 2009 to 2017 would be calculated and paid within a period of six weeks. 2/4

3. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
