ORDER

The present petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 to provide the necessary police protection to the petitioner, his employee's life and limb and to conduct his waste paper and old materials business in the Trichy District based on petitioner's representation, dated 09.12.2024.

2. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court is inclined to pass orders without even order notice to the fifth respondent.

3. According to the petitioner, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 09.12.2024 but the same has not been considered by the respondents and that the fifth respondent causing disturbance to the business of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner prayed to issue direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner on merits.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 3 and 4 would submit that they received the representation of the petitioner on 11.12.2024 but the petitioner has not cooperated for the enquiry. However, they will dispose the petition as early as possible.

5. In reply, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that so far the petitioner has not received any communication from the respondents 3 and 4. Hence, if the respondents issue any notice to the 3/6

petitioner, he is ready to appear before the fourth respondent and produce all the documents in respect of his representation.

6. In view of the above said representations, it is appropriate to direct the petitioner to appear before the fourth respondent on 12.02.2025 and the fourth respondent is directed to issue notice to the fifth respondent and hear both the parties and to pass appropriate orders purely on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 15 days thereafter.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
