Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the respondents to dredge and to construct preventive walls in the Survey Nos.582, 584, 566 and 567 and lay concrete floors on the entire stretch of the Vanna Odai and if any remaining places which covers our agriculture land and the residential areas of the 1st ward of Elumalai town, based the petitioners representation dated 16.11.2021.
ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.Veer Kathiravan Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.M.Sarangen Addl.Govt.Pleader on behalf of the Petitioner and of Mr.P.Praveenkumar Advocate for the first Respondent, this Court made the following order: (Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) "This petition is filed to extend the time for the period of further six months from today in W.P.(MD)No.22613 of 2021, dated 21.12.2021, to construct the preventive wall at Vanna Odai in Elumali Town Panchayat.
2. Heard the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent.
3. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and in view of the no objections expressed by the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent, we are inclined to grant six weeks time from today to comply the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.22613 of 2021, dated 21.12.2021.
4. Accordingly, this Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed and time is extended for a period of six weeks from today to comply the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.22613 of 2021, dated 21.12.2021. It is made clear that no further time will be granted."
