O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to call for the records relating to S.T.C.No.119 of 2020, pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Devakottai and quash the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. After hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent, this Court is of the considered view that no sufficient ground has been made out by the petitioner for the purpose of quashing S.T.C.No.119 of 2020.

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be issued to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2118 of 2021 learned Judicial Magistrate, Devakottai to expedite the trial.

5. Considering the above submission, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Devakottai to complete the trial and dispose S.T.C.No.119 of 2020 within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With these directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
