This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No. 674 of 2023, dated 11.08.2023, pending on the file of the first respondent.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner sought for adjournment.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that in this case, the investigation is almost completed and the respondent police are awaiting a report from the Revenue Divisional Officer concerned. Depending upon that report, final report would be filed.

4.Considering that this application has been filed on 05.02.2024, which is pending before this Court without even an order of notice and also considering the stage of the investigation, this criminal original petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to conclude the investigation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also at liberty to challenge the final report to be filed by the respondent police, if he is having any ground.
