ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner made a complaint to the third respondent and other respondents, inter alia, alleging that the land belonging to the Government is being encroached by private individuals. Upon receiving the said complaint, the first respondent has asked the third respondent to conduct an enquiry. The third respondent, in and by the proceedings dated 21.12.2020, informed the petitioner that an enquiry has been initiated on his complaint. Seeking to expedite the aforesaid proceedings, the present writ petition is filed.

2. Mr.R.Murugappan, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it is suffice if the enquiry is directed to be completed within a stipulated time limit.

3. Considering the above and taking note of the pendency of the enquiry, we direct the third respondent to conclude the aforesaid enquiry within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and based upon the same, the consequential action will have to be taken by the first respondent.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
