Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct a re-investigation to be caused in the case in Crime No.1080 of 2017, pending on the file of the second respondent by the third respondent and further direct the third respondent to complete the same within a time stipulated as prescribed by this Court.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to re-investigate the case in Crime No.1080 of 2017, pending on the file of the second respondent by the third respondent and further direct the third respondent to complete the same within a time stipulated as prescribed by this Court. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the respondent police have conducted investigation and filed a negative report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, in which, the petitioner filed a protest petition. The said protest petition pending for long time in P.P.No.4025 of 2018, hence, this Court may issue a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate to dispose of the protest petition within a stipulated period.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State would submit that considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, time may be granted to dispose of the protest petition.

4.In view of the above, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, to dispose of the protest petition in P.P.No.4025 of 2018, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
