Petitioner is the defacto complainant and she has lodged a complaint to the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Contonement Police Station, Trichy. Based on the complaint, the Respondent Police has registered a case in Crime No.19 of 2023 for offences under Sections 498(A) and 506(i) IPC. Subsequent to registration of the case, investigation had not proceeded. Therefore, the Petitioner was forced to approach this Court seeking a direction against the Respondent to complete the investigation and to file the final report.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instruction from the Respondent, would submit that investigation has almost been completed. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor undertakes that the final report will be filed within a period of one month.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed.
