2. The petitioners are mini-bus operator between Chettikulam Junction and Melakrishnapudur. They are aggrieved by the fact that their request to operate the mini buses upto Anna Bus Stand in Nagerkoil was rejected. An appeal preferred before the State Transport appellate Tribunal ended in a dismissal. To the same effect an order was passed in W.P.Nos.22698 and 22697 of 2015.
3. When the Writ appeals were pending, we received a report from the Superintendent of Police, Kanniyakumari District at Nagerekoil. The report stated that the mini buses which are the subject matter of the Writ Petition viz., TN-28-H-9255 and TN-74-F-0355 are plying from Chettikulam Junction to Melakrishnapudur and it covers 4 kms in served route and 6.1 kms in unserved route. The report also stated that the police have not declared the route between Chettikulam Junction and Melakrishnapudur as a one way. This being a factual report, we accepted the same and dismissed the Writ Appeal.
4. The petitioners want to review this order. By the said order, we only recorded the statement of the Superintendent of Police, Kanniyakumari District at Nagerkoil that the plea of the petitioner that there exist a one way road between Chettikulam Junction and Melakrishnapudur is erroneous. The Court is not empowered to decide whether there is a one way or whether the buses are entitled to ply both ways. We necessarily have to rely upon the report of 3/6
an Authority Competent to decide whether the route is one way or not. That being the position, we do not find any error apparent on the face of the record.
5. Consequently, the Review Application stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (S.M.S., J.) (V.L.N., J.) 26.09.2025 dsa Internet :Yes/No Index :Yes/No :Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order 4/6
