ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to rectify the wrong classification made in Survey No.889/9 to the extent of 0.00.15 Ares and in Survey No.889/11 to the extent of 0.00.98 Ares situated at A.Vallalapatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, in favour of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner has made a representation on 08.05.2024 to the second respondent, which according to the petitioner is not disposed of.

3. The learned Government Advocate, Mr.S.Kameswaran, would submit that the competent authority is not the second respondent, but, the District Revenue Officer is the competent authority.

4. In the light of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The petitioner shall give fresh representation to the District Revenue Officer, Madurai District, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of 2/4

copy of this order. The District Revenue Officer, Madurai District, shall dispose of the application on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders on the request for rectification as sought for by the petitioner, if the writ petitioner is found entitled for the same, subject to satisfaction of District Revenue Officer, Madurai District.

5. On receipt of fresh representation enclosing all relevant documents to the petitioner, the District Revenue Officer, Madurai District, shall endeavour to dispose of the set of representation within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of the representation from the petitioner. No costs.
