ORDER

The petitioners, who are victims cheated by the private respondents, who had collected huge sums of money nearly Rs.80,00,000/- (Rupees Eighty Lakhs only) on the promise of getting employment as staff in the Court. Further, they had also prepared fake appointment orders in the name of the Court using Court seal, signature and logo. With the details, the petitioners had lodged a complaint to the first respondent, who had forwarded the same to the second respondent. Thereafter, no action has been taken. Hence, the present petition.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice on behalf of the first and second respondents, on instructions, submitted that 2/5

from the typed set of papers produced it is seen that the private respondents using the name of Court had issued hall ticket, call letter and appointment order. In all State Government seal as well as High Court seal have been incorporated, which is serious in nature even the signature of the Registrar General had found in the appointment orders. In view of the serious nature of the offence, appropriate action would be immediately taken.

In view of the above submission and on reading of complaint and supporting documents reveal that usage of Court seal, Government seal and signature of the officer have been forged, even the specimen seal is also cited in the document. In view of the same, the petitioners are directed to appear before the Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Crime Branch, Theni, on 05.02.2025 and produce all documents in support of their case. Thereafter, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, is directed to enquire into the complaint of the petitioners and take appropriate stern action against the offenders, on verification of the documents.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
