Heard Mr.P.Ganapathi Subramanian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.

2. The Writ Petition is filed praying for a Mandamus, directing the respondent to recognize the customary practice of petitioner's right to conducting Mandagapaty at Mandhaiamman Temple, Karuppur Village, Manaparai Taluk and Trichy District during Chitra Powrnami.

3. It is to be noted that the petitioner had made representation to the respondent on 03.01.2025. The respondent herein is directed to consider the same as application under Section 63(e) of HR and CE Act and conduct an enquiry as per law after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons in the affairs of the temple and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
