Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to issue a direction, directing the 2nd Respondent to file the Final Report within stipulated time before the concerned Court in Crime No.2 of 2018 dated 26.12.2018 which is pending on the file of the 2nd Respondent.
ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.A.Robinson, Government Advocate(Criminal Side) for the Petitioner and of Mr.Rajiv Rufus, Advocate for the respondents, this Court made the following order:
The present petition is filed by the Superintendant of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai and the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing-II, Tirunelveli District, seeking four months time to complete the investigation in Crime No.2 of 2018 and file a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
final report before the concerned Court.
2.Mr.A.Robinson, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the petitioners, on instructions, would contend that nearly 64 complaints have been received by the Inspector of Police, Economic Offences Wing-II, and therefore, for completing the investigation in Crime No.2 of 2018, four months time is absolutely necessary.
3. Considering the request made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), for completing the investigation and file a final report before the concerned Judicial Magistrate, four months time is granted to the petitioners from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.4.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
