ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to issue Certificate in the name of FYROZ KHAN, S/o. Syed Buhari to the effect that the petitioner's husband namely Fyroz Khan is also called as Gani as mentioned in the new Passport No.U0560550 dated 29.07.2020 and to consequently direct the 1st respondent to forward such certificate issued by the 2nd respondent to the file of the Indian High Commission to Malasisya for the purpose of claiming the Corpus of the petitioner's husband for conducting decent burial and performing his final rituals.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 07.01.2025 seeking issuance of certificate for her deceased husband, in the light of the report submitted by the second respondent in COLREV/541/2024-C4, dated 09.01.2025, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of one week from today.

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
