This Writ Petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 03.10.2019 and consequently, to direct the respondents to issue patta in the name of petitioner for the land, which is in possession and enjoyment of the petitioner for the continuous period of 20 years comprised in S.No.144/3, Koduvilarpatti Village, Theni Taluk, Theni District.

2.By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.Though the petitioner seeks positive direction to consider his representation and to direct the respondent Tahsildar to issue https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.2450 of 2020 pata in favour of the petitioner in respect of the land comprised in S.No.144/3, Koduvilarpatti Village, Theni Taluk, Theni District, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a direction to consider the petitioner's representation within the time stipulated by this Court, will be sufficient for the petitioner. 4.Having regard to the limited scope of prayer that is now sought by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, this Court is inclined to issue the following directions: 5.The first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 03.10.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." 6.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
