PRAYER:- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary steps to settle the bill amount for a sum of Rs. 3,20,303/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Twenty Thousand Three Hundred and Three only) based upon the petitioner's representation dated 27.08.2021. ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary steps to settle the bill amount for a sum of Rs.3,20,303/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Twenty Thousand Three Hundred and Three only) based upon the petitioner's representation dated 27.08.2021.

2.The petitioner has taken dealership of Indian Oil Corporation retail outlet petroleum from Indian Oil Corporation in the name and style of M/s Durairaj Filling Station. They have supplied the petrol and diesel to the respondents department. In this regard, the respondents have to settle a sum of Rs.3,20,303/-. Since they have not paid the said amount, the petitioner 2/5

has made a representation to the respondents. Thereafter also, no action was taken. Hence, he filed the present writ petition. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader produced a copy of the letter dated 05.01.2024 issued by the fifth respondent, wherein, the fifth respondent has stated that they have paid Rs.1,63,753/- and if the petitioner has produced bills for the balance amount of Rs.1,56,550/-, they shall pay the same.

4. In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to produce the bills for the balance amount to be paid by the respondents. On the such production, the respondents are directed to disburse the amount within a period of four weeks.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
