O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's daughter namely, Lakshmi aged 17 years before this Court and hand over her custody to the petitioner.

2.The petitioner would state that she is having two children, one male and one female. The daughter of the petitioner is the detenue and she is now aged about 17 years and she was found missing from 30.01.2021 and hence, she lodged a complaint with the second respondent on the same day. It was registered in crime No.45/2021 under 'girl missing'. But no effective action was 1/3

taken to secure the detenu and hence, she has come up with this petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor Mr.K.Dinesh Babu would state that the detenue eloped with one Kesavan who is also aged about 17 years and they were found in Trichy and secured on 07.02.2021. The said Kesavan was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. The detenue was not willing to go with her parents and hence, she is now at Government Vigilance Home, Muthupatti, 4.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the detenue would state that she is willing to go with her mother, the petitioner herein, who in turn accepted the proposal of the detenue.

5.In the light of the above statement, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed. The Officers of the Government Vigilance Home, Muthupatti, Madurai shall hand over the detenue after completing the formalities.
