ORDER

The Petitioner has prayed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to rectify the corrections made in the Joint Patta No.147 1/5

as 'S.Kumanan' instead of 'S.Kumaran', based on the petitioner's representation, dated 12.01.2024.

2.Heard Mr.A.Vadivel, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Christy Theboral, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, with respect to the property in Survey No. 38/2C2, all the revenue records stands in the name of the petitioner's father namely Sankilipillai. In the year 1966, his father passed away, thereafter patta stands change as of Joint patta in favour of the petitioner and his two brothers. The petitioner's name is Kumanan, but in the patta it was mentioned as 'Kumaran'. In this regard, he approached the second respondent to rectify the above corrections of their joint patta vide Patta No.147 and he has also made a representation to the second respondent on 12.01.2024 seeking to rectify the above said corrections in the joint patta. But the second respondent has not consider the same and hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 2/5

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submit that appropriate direction may be given to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application, dated 12.01.2024, in accordance with law, within a time frame.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to rectify corrections made in the Joint Patta No.147 as 'S.Kumanan' instead of 'S.Kumaran' by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to produce all the documents to the official concerned.

6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
