ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the III-Additional District Court for PCR Cases, Madurai District to consider the bail application of the Petitioner to be filed in Cr.No.03 of 2026 on the file of the second Respondent Police and to accept his surrender on the same day.

2. Considering the nature of the relief sought for, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

3. The case of the prosecution is that on 06.01.2026 at about 5.00 p.m., due to the motive arising out of a love affair, the accused persons threatened the bridegroom. They abused the defacto complainant by uttering his caste name and also attempted to attack him by a billhook and also threatened him with dire consequences. Based on these allegations, an FIR has been registered against the petitioner. 2/4

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court hereby direct the learned III-Additional District Court for PCR Cases, Madurai District, to issue prior notice to the de facto complainant and thereafter to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of his surrender before that Court in connection with Crime No.3 of 2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.
