Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the claim application submitted by the petitioner and to grant crop insurance claim amount of Rs.4,43,488/- (Four Lakh and Forty Three Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Eight only) for the petitioner's agricultural land that have been insured by the petitioner with the fifth respondent under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) scheme in Insurance Policy Receipt Nos. 0402332200600780634, 0402332200600782392 with appropriate interest within a stipulated time may be fixed by this Court. This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the claim application submitted by the petitioner and to grant crop insurance claim amount of Rs.4,43,488/- (Four Lakh and Forty Three Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Eight only) for the petitioner's agricultural land that have been insured by the petitioner with the fifth respondent. 2/5
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the fifth respondent is directed to consider the claim petition submitted by the petitioner seeking compensation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
