ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner and his family members.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.Perused the materials placed on record.

4.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent reports that on receipt of the complaint given by one Venugopal and Sridhar, the respondent police registered a case in Crime Nos.3 of 2019 and 4 of 2019, for the offences under Sections 403, 406, 420 and 120(b) of IPC and conducted investigation. The accused in this case are absconding. The respondent police got reliable information that the petitioner, who is related to them, knows about the whereabouts of the absconding accused, thereby, after issuing due summons under law, the petitioner has been summoned for enquiry. Other than that the respondent police has not harassed the petitioner. 5.Under such circumstances, once the regular FIR has been registered, the question of "Not to harass" will not arise. Crl.O.P.[MD].No.2123 of 2020 interfering with the investigation conducted by the respondent police.
