ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as A1, in Crime No.166 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 28.08.2015, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 174 Cr.P.C., altered into Section 306 of I.P.C., r/w. Section 4 Women Harassment Act, and hence, seeks bail.

2.According to the de-facto complainant, his daughter viz., Ramya was married to the first accused before 2 1⁄2 years and at the time of marriage, he gave household articles and two wheeler to the first accused and thereafter, all the accused have demanded additional dowry for sending the first accused to abroad and therefore, the daughter of the de-facto complainant committed suicide by hanging on 27.08.2015. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on the date of occurrence, the first accused and the deceased had attended a marriage function and after returning home quarrel arose between them, so, she committed suicide by hanging.

4.The learned counsel further submitted that there is no specific overt act attributed against the accused and a case was registered only on suspicion.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that all the accused have been secured on 27.08.2015. It is further submitted that the deceased committed suicide only due to dowry harassment by the petitioner/accused.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent Police daily at 10.00 a.m., until further orders.
