ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 to correct the revenue records to reflect the pathway adjoining the northern side of S.F.No.135, Punjaikalakurichi Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District, as 9 feet wide instead of 23 feet, pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2023.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the pathway situated on the northern side of S.F.No.135, Punjaikalakurichi Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District, has been incorrectly recorded in the revenue records as 23 feet wide, whereas its actual width is 9 feet. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 19.06.2023 requesting rectification of the revenue records, but no action has been taken.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2023, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state that in the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
