PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to 1/4

carry out necessary changes in the Register of Patta pass books pertaining the new Survey no.154/14 of Chekkalaikkottai Revenue Village based on the registered sale deed dated 05.03.2015 registered in document No.1186 with Joint Sub Registrar-II, Karaikudi, within the time as fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the fourth respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 25.11.2020, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for mutation in the revenue records pursuant to the registered sale deed dated 05.03.2015 registered as Document No.1186/2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the limited relief sought for in this petition, there shall be a 2/4

direction to the fourth respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 25.11.2020 and deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision and pass orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the fourth respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
