O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to expedite the proceedings in O.A.No.6 of 2002, which is pending before him and dispose of the same within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. This Court is shocked to know that the proceedings that were initiated as early as in the year 2002 are still pending before the first respondent.

3. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent also confirms about the pendency of the proceedings in O.A.No.6 of 2002 before the first respondent and further submits that the first respondent may require minimum six months time for disposal of the said proceedings.

4. This Court, having considered the fact that the matter is pending before the first respondent for the past 22 years, is not inclined to grant six months time.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the proceedings in O.A.No.6 of 2002, which is pending before him, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by duly putting all the necessary parties on notice, without any further delay. No costs.
