ORDER

This writ petition is filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction to the first respondent/District Revenue Officer, Thoothukudi District, to dispose of the revision proceedings, which had been initiated by the second respondent, within a stipulated period of time.

2. Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader had taken notice on behalf of R1. The Special Government Pleader drew the attention of this Court to a notice, dated 28.09.2021 issued by the first respondent to both the petitioner and also to the second respondent for the enquiry date on 07.10.2021. This aspect is stressed by the learned Special Government Pleader, who stated that the enquiry is on going and after completing the enquiry under normal process, the first respondent would pass necessary orders. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. There is an appearance on behalf of the second respondent by the learned counsel Mr.P.Puhazh Ghandi.

4. A direction is issued to the first respondent/District Revenue Officer to proceed further with the enquiry, hear both the parties by giving sufficient opportunities to both the parties and thereafter, pass necessary orders within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The statement made by the learned counsel for the second respondent that a civil suit is already pending is recorded.

6. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
