ORDER

Alleging wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 02.09.2022 in W.P.(MD)No.16303 of 2022, this Contempt Petition has been filed.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, it is stated by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents that the order of the Writ Court has been challenged in an intra Court appeal in W.A.(MD).No. 1029 of 2023, which is posted along with batch of Writ Appeals covering the issue and an order of interim stay has been granted in C.M.P.(MD).No.7850 of 2023 vide order dated 11.07.2023. While that being so, it would not be appropriate for this Court to parallely adjudicate the present Contempt Petition.

3. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh Contempt Petition or to reopen this Contempt Petition, subject to the final outcome of the Writ Appeals. 25.08.2023 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No Lm/RR 2/4
