ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Kodaikanal, to expedite the trial of the case in C.C.No.144 of 2015, wherein the petitioners are arrayed as accused persons.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the prosecution has listed 5 witnesses, of which, two witnesses have already been examined and for the examination of the remaining witnesses, the case is posted on 06.05.2019.

4. Since the trial has already commenced and the remaining witnesses are to be examined shortly, this Court now directs the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Kodaikanal, to complete the trial and dispose of the same within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
