ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 406 IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act in Crime No.1 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side).
3. Earlier this matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation centre attached to this Bench and failure report dated 22.01.2015 has been received. The respondent police have registered the case in Cr.No.1 f 2015 for offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 406 IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act.
4. The learned Counsel for the petitioners seeks permission of this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Court to withdraw this Criminal Original Petition.
5. This Court has refused to grant permission. It is seen that the petitioners are in possession of 8 Sovereigns of gold belonging to the defacto complainant and also 5 Sovereigns of gold jewels given to the first petitioner by the defacto complainant's family at the time of marriage. The first petitioner has agreed to return 13 Sovereigns of gold jewels to the defacto complainant, which he has not returned till date. Under these circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
