PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to provide a new Electric Connection for Domestic purpose based on petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2026 within stipulated time.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the second respondent to provide new electricity service connection for domestic purpose based upon the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2026.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the application presented by the petitioner has been cancelled on the ground that the petitioner has not produced the recent records to establish his title and possession.

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to produce the recent property tax receipt and other documents before the authority and file a fresh application. On production of these records, the respondents are directed to dispose of the same within a period of 2(two) weeks from the date of production of the said records.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
