O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to survey and demarcate the properties comprised in Survey No.66/11A measuring 0.27.50 hectares, Survey No.66/2 measuring 0.31.00 hectares, Survey No. 66/3 measuring 0.27.50 hectares and Survey No.66/4 measuring 0.26.50 hectares, situated at Serndamangalam Village, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tenkasi District, with the assistance of the third respondent, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Page No. 2 of 5

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that an online application has been submitted for the survey of the property in question and for demarcation of its boundaries and a representation has also been made.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents, on instructions, would submit that after considering the claims of the parties, necessary steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923. However, the learned Additional Government Pleader seeks some time for completion of the survey of the properties, as one of the boundaries is situated near a pond and therefore, without taking proper steps, the survey cannot be completed.

Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the first and second respondents to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 11.06.2025 and his representation dated 14.10.2025, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after consideration of the claims of all parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Page No. 3 of 5

Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twenty weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties and that if required, the police assistance may be taken.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
