O R D E R

Heard Mr. R.Ramaguru, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. R.Manickam, Learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

The Respondent (hereinafter referred to as 'husband') has filed H.M.O.P. No. 1532 of 2023 for divorce before the Family Court, Madurai. In this application invoking Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, before this Court, the Petitioner (hereinafter referred to as 'wife') has sought for transfer of the proceedings in H.M.O.P. No. 1532 of 2023 before the Family Court, Madurai, to the Family Court, Karur.

It is not disputed that the husband as on date is working at Chennai and the wife is residing at Karur, where her parents are residing from whom she requires support. As no useful purpose would be served for the parties to come to Madurai, the case in H.M.O.P. No. 1532 of 2023 on the file of the Family Court, Madurai shall stand transferred to the Family Court, Karur and both parties shall appear in that Court on the next hearing which is fixed as 05.06.2024 for conduct of further proceedings of the case from its present 2/4

stage.

In the result, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is ordered on the aforesaid terms. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
