ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members at the time of worshiping his Father's Cemetery (Memorial) situated in S.Nos. 30/2, 30/9 and 30/5 at Thanippatti Village, Thirukostiyur, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the third respondent is the petitioner's brother's wife and that after the death of his brother, there existed disputes between the petitioner and the third respondent. He would further submit that previously patta was issued in favour of the third respondent's husband and that on the revision filed by the petitioner, the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai has passed an order dated 07.08.2015 setting aside the order of the Revenue Divisional Officer.

3. Admittedly, there existed property dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent and as of now, there is no enforceable 2/4

decree or order from the competent civil Court and as such, the granting of police protection does not arise at all. The petitioner has been alleging some threatening from the third respondent, if any complaint is lodged in this regard, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and take suitable action in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
