PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 438 of Cr.P.C, praying to enlarge the petitioner on bail in the event of his arrest by the respondent Police with respect to Cr.No.12 of 2023.

ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of Tamil Nadu Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order 1982 and Section 7(1) (a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1995 in Crime No.12 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.When the matter is taken up today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that the petitioner is having 6 previous case and all are similar in nature. He prays for dismissal of this application.

3. In view of the bad antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
