The instant Writ Petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation, seeking a direction to the respondents to take into account the 22 years of service instead of 21 years of service and pay difference terminal benefits and other monetary benefits based upon the representation dated 12.11.2024.
2. It could be seen from the affidavit that the petitioner had joined as a Driver in the Transport Corporation on 13.11.1995 and he had retired as a Special Grade Driver on 31.01.2018. According to him, the services of the writ petitioner should be taken into account as 22 years.
3. However, the terminal benefits and other monetary benefits have been released by taking into account 21 years of service. Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents on 12.11.2024. Since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
5. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.11.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
